In the immediate aftermath of the Putra Heights gas explosion, Tzu Chi volunteers swiftly mobilised. Over the course of 23 days, they worked tirelessly to carry out relief efforts, offering heartfelt support and comfort to those affected.

Two rare storms struck Sekinchan in March 2025, causing widespread damage. Tzu Chi volunteers responded swiftly with emergency assessments, registrations, and aid distributions, bringing warmth and relief to affected residents.

As the population ages, many families are faced with the challenge of caring for bedridden or stroke patients. To help ease the burden, Tzu Chi offers free loans of second-hand assistive devices, hoping to support caregivers and improve patients' quality of life.

 As the Lunar New Year approached, the KL Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall was filled with festive cheer. More than just a seasonal celebration, the Lunar New Year distribution brought blessings, warmth, and a deep sense of connection and hope for the year ahead.

“My children have been eagerly anticipating this outing since the start of the month, saying, ‘I wish it would come sooner…’,” shared a father about his children’s excitement.

With Chinese New Year around the corner, Tzu Chi KL & Selangor organised a Near Year distribution cum Year-End Blessing event for its Chinese care recipients, showering them with the warmth of humanity.

“During the time when I was at the hospital, alone and not knowing the fate of my wife, the visits from Tzu Chi volunteers brought me peace and strength,” said a grateful survivor.

Despite feeling exhausted from daily chores and taking care of her bedridden mother and seven children, Sitrah believes that education is key to helping her children distinguish right from wrong and break free from poverty.

“I have a coin bank in my closet that I want to donate to Tzu Chi. The volunteers have not come for two years. Before my partner’s demise, he told me to donate RM10 monthly. I now owe Tzu Chi RM240 over the past two years. Please remember to hand over the RM240 to Tzu Chi after I depart this life…” – Heng Bak Nam

Upon receiving the news that Klang was severely hit by floods, Tzu Chi Klang sent a relief team to the scene, distributing hot meals and calming the devastated victims.
