Year-end Blessings Ceremony

  • “Throughout this year, countless people have joined hearts and shared love for the world, and my heart overflows with gratitude every day. I hope that everyone can hear my voices of gratitude, both for those who give love to the world and on behalf of those who receive it.” – Master Cheng Yen

  • Four years into its operation, Tzu Chi International School Kuala Lumpur (TCISKL) was finally able to hold its inaugural formal Year-end Blessing Ceremony on February 14, 2023. Students from preschool, primary, and secondary levels participated in their designated sessions of the ceremony via livestreaming in their respective classrooms and the auditorium, accompanied by their teachers, Great Love Mothers, and volunteers from the Tzu-Cheng and Yi-Te Association.

  • Tzu Chi KL & Selangor held its Year-end Blessing Ceremonies on January 8 and February 12, 2023, to express gratitude to members of the public for their support towards Tzu Chi’s missions and welcome volunteers home for a reunion while receiving blessings from Master Cheng Yen.

  • In an auspicious end to the year, more than 15,000 volunteers and members of the public thronged the KL Tzu-Chi Jing Si Hall for the annual Year-end Blessing Ceremonies held across 12 sessions from December 14, 2019 to January 12, 2020. For the first time in Tzu Chi KL & Selangor’s 26-year history, Dharma Masters from the Jing Si Abode in Hualien, Taiwan were present at the session dedicated to volunteers on January 5, 2020 to personally distribute red envelopes of blessings and wisdom to over 3,000 commissioners and community volunteers.

  • Following the Year-end Blessing Ceremony held for the Chinese-speaking community, Tzu Chi Klang organized a special Year-end Blessing Ceremony on January 12, 2019, for the non-Chinese speaking group. Transcending language and religion, the event was wholly conducted in Tamil and Malay to enable the attendees to better understand Tzu Chi.
  • The “Medicine Buddha Sutra” serves to remind all to nurture compassion and selfless benevolence towards humanity from within, as well as to seize every opportunity to learn and practise the way of the Dharma and cultivate wisdom in order to foster universal peace and harmony.

  • The 2018 Year-end Blessing Ceremony organized by Tzu Chi Malacca walked the audience through Tzu Chi’s footprints traversed during the 12 months of 2018 – good deeds that benefitted a large number of people across the globe – made possible only through the collective kindness and efforts of donors and volunteers alike. Within a year, over 10,000 people benefitted from the small acts of kindness gathered from the public – such multiplier effect can only be achieved on a collective basis. Some volunteers also had the opportunity to be part of disaster relief missions overseas, thus creating good affinities with many across the globe.

  • Tzu Chi KL & Selangor hosted 15 sessions of the annual Year-end Blessing Ceremony between December 2018 and January 2019. It was a time primarily for self reflection, a time to express our gratitude to those who have helped us and also gratitude to those who have given us the opportunity to help them. The highlight of this ceremony was receiving Master Cheng Yen’s red envelope of blessings and wisdom for the year ahead.
